At Maikaza, we aim for happy customers with innovative decor like our Floating Moon Lamp (150,000 Naira) or Floating Flower Pot (150,000 Naira). Refunds are limited to keep things fair—read on for details. This policy complies with Nigerian consumer laws (e.g., no unfair terms under the Consumer Protection Act).

Eligibility for Refunds

  • Full Refunds Only for Defects: We’ll give a full refund (original amount, including shipping if applicable) within 7 days of delivery only if the product is defective (e.g., broken levitation tech, cracked pot, or doesn’t match description due to manufacturing fault). No refunds for “change of mind,” buyer’s remorse, or non-defective issues (e.g., wrong size you chose).
  • All Products Eligible: Every item (lamps, pots, etc.) qualifies—no exclusions for custom or special orders.
  • Warranty Tie-In: Defects within the 1-year warranty (see Terms) may get repair/replacement first; if impossible, a refund.

How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact Us Fast: Email admin@maikaza.com within 7 days of delivery with:
    • Order number.
    • Photos/videos of the defect.
    • Reason (keep it clear—e.g., “Lamp doesn’t float”).
  2. Our Review: We’ll inspect (usually 1-2 days) and approve/deny via email. If approved, we’ll collect the item from your address (Nigeria free; international at our cost via DHL—return to Lagos).
  3. Processing: Once we receive and verify (2-5 days post-collection), refund hits your original method (Paystack/card: 3-5 days; bank/MoMo: 1-3 days). No cash refunds.
  4. Shipping Deductions: For international orders, if defect is proven, we cover return shipping—no deduction.

What We Don’t Refund

  • Used/damaged by you items.
  • Late requests (after 7 days).
  • Shipping costs on non-defective returns (but we don’t do those).
  • Payment fees (e.g., 1-2% Paystack charge) stay with us.

International Customers

Same rules apply—7-day window starts on customs clearance. Duties/taxes aren’t refunded if you pay them.
